The Laudato Si' Research Institute and Campion Hall are hosting a series of online multidisciplinary seminars analysing post-COVID intellectual developments of significance for theology, philosophy, and ethics.

Title: Challenges and Imperatives in Developing the Vaccine

Description
Professor Pollard will discuss the process of developing a vaccine in ten months that would usually take ten years, the challenges this presented, and the legacy that it may leave behind.

Andrew Pollard is Professor of Paediatric Infection and Immunity at the University of Oxford, Honorary Consultant Paediatrician at Oxford Children’s Hospital and Vice Master of St Cross College, Oxford. He is the Chief Investigator leading the development of the ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).
