Land and Agriculture
Every year the LSRI orientates its research activity around a specific theme. For academic year 2021-2022 this theme will be land and agriculture.
Conflicts over land are escalating all around the world. Many of these can be traced back to competing understandings of agricultural land use and productivity. Throughout the year, the LSRI will seek to explore and deepen this analysis with reference to different global case-studies. Where can we discern new understandings of the relationship between human communities and the agricultural land they manage? What sort of ethic underlies this? And to what extent can this be inspired or resourced by the wisdom of world religions, including the Christian tradition?
This page will soon be updated with more information about events and research activities linked to this theme.
