Ella Vardi

Ella Vardi is an MPhil student in Theology, specialising in the study of the Hebrew Bible. Before studying at Oxford, Ella completed her BA in Theology, Religion and Philosophy of Religion at the University of Cambridge, where she focused primarily on Hebrew Bible theology. Her work in Biblical Studies was recognised with the Junior Scholefield Award, and her dissertation focusing on the role of the handmaid was recognised with the Religion and Gender Award.

During her MPhil, Ella is interested in researching ecofeminist approaches to Biblical Law code, through investigating the agency of the land and the body as productive and often over-exploited entities.
