About

Tomás is co-founder and executive director of the Laudato Si’ Movement, a global network of 900 Catholic organizations and thousands of grassroots animators striving for climate and ecological justice. He was an executive producer of the YouTube Originals film “The Letter: A Message for our Earth” by Oscar-winning Off The Fence Productions, and was later appointed by Pope Francis as a consultor of the Vatican Dicastery for Communications. He also serves as an Ecclesial Affiliate at the Laudato Si’ Research Institute at Campion Hall, at Oxford University.

Previously, he was a Fulbright Scholar and Research Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School, served in the UN Climate Secretariat, worked for Google, and ministered with Catholic organizations in the slums of Buenos Aires. He completed master’s degrees in public administration at Harvard University and in public policy at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. His life-changing Franciscan formation took place at the Brother Francis Youth House in the peripheries of Buenos Aires. He now lives in Rome with his wife Vicky and rascal toddler Isabella.
