New Online Course on Integral Ecology Launched

Key Details

Topics:
Integral Ecology

In a bid to address the pressing environmental challenges outlined in Pope Francis' landmark encyclical Laudato Si', the Pontifical Universities and Atheneums in Rome, under the patronage of the Dicastery for Integral Human Development, have launched the English edition of the Joint Diploma in Integral Ecology. Notably, LSRI Director Celia Deane-Drummond will be participating as part of the distinguished faculty for this initiative.

Integral to the ethos of Laudato Si', the Joint Diploma in Integral Ecology aims to foster an alliance across all segments of society to address the unprecedented challenges facing our common home. Launched seven years ago at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, the course is now available in English through an online platform.

The course, set to commence officially on 25 January, is open for admissions until 31 March, 2024. Participants will be enrolled at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, gaining access to valuable online resources, including a digital library and course materials. The intentionally low enrollment fee of €30 is designed to encourage widespread participation and create a mass movement for the care of our common home in this era of planetary emergency.

The course programme is available here.
