This is a recording of a lecture by Professor Kerri Day (Associate Professor of Constructive Theology and African American Religion, Princeton Theological Seminary), delivered as part of the LSRI Research Seminar Series - a series of multidisciplinary seminars analysing intellectual developments of significance for theology, philosophy, and ethics .

About

This seminar explores a brief history of racial disparities in relation to infectious diseases in the United States and how Christian theology (as well as Christian communities) has been complicit in helping to produce such racial disparities, especially during our current COVID pandemic. After exploring this history, the seminar concludes by investigating how Christians might advocate for racial justice in this emerging post-Covid moment.
