Research Interests
Originally specialising in New Testament studies and early Jewish and Christian origins, Emmanuel’s current research interests are in the hermeneutics and comparative study of sacred texts and traditions in the Abrahamic faiths. Within this he is interested in the relationship between biblical studies and ecotheology. As part of his fellowship, he is working on a monograph which argues for a more interconnected, ecosystemic way of engaging with biblical texts.
