Frishta Qaderi
Frishta Qaderi is a Marshall Scholar reading for an MPhil in Nature, Society, and Environmental Governance. Her research interests include commons governance, critical legal studies, and transboundary river management. Frishta graduated from Brown University and is a 2020 Fulbright Research Fellow.
Frishta’s MPhil dissertation draws from socio-legal studies to investigate the multiple normative orders governing the Aral Sea Basin. Through ethnographic research along the Zarafshan River, she explored how hybrid governance coalitions are challenging conventional understandings of what constitutes the transboundary commons.
