Title: Theologically addressing US racial disparities in a post-COVID world
Speaker: Prof Keri Day
Chair: Celia Deane-Drummond

Abstract

This seminar will explore a brief history of racial disparities in relation to infectious diseases in the United States and how Christian theology (as well as Christian communities) has been complicit in helping to produce such racial disparities, especially during our current COVID pandemic. After exploring this history, the seminar will conclude by investigating how Christians might advocate for racial justice in this emerging post-Covid moment.
